Visiting Artist Janae Easton of Platypusfile

Amazing pieces have just landed in Southern Fried Gallery. As our first visiting artist, Janae Easton has supplied us with incredible prints, pillows, necklaces and dolls, all handmade in Tallahassee, FL.  Such fabulous treasures!

Janae creates a line of art+craft+design that is inspired by the home and nature. "I make a bit a everything," Janae says.  "If I have wanted something I have probably tried to make it. My focus is on drawing, small Gocco prints, soft sculpture; primarily bird pillows but also dolls named after women explorers. I also make wearable’s, which are inspired by collage, but fit the body."

A New Comer to Southern Fried

We are so happy to be adding Maria Andrade Troya to our family of Southern Fried artisans! She just supplied us with an incredible selection of her beautiful pottery.  Elegant and earthy, Maria's pieces include vases, mugs, bowls, platters, and, just in time for spring, flower pots.  With several different patterns to choose from, you are sure to find something that is just perfect for you!

Beautiful colors and styles that make it possible to feel the warmth of spring.  It's definitely in the air, on the table and even plugged into the wall...thanks to the bright array of nightlights we have to choose from.  Our selection also includes Sassy Stems, suncatchers, platters, bowls, candle holders, and even pendants.  As you can see, we have something for everyone.  You've been patient all winter long, don't you think it's time to get you some sassy spring?!
